I’ve been exploring and focusing on the “space” between my in-breath and my out-breath. I start my “counting” at “75.” I locate the space between an in- and out-breath – 75. I note the in-breath and then “the space” before the out-breath – 74. I might abide that space – 73. I might note the variations in the “amount of time” between the in-breath and the out-breath or the between the out-breath and in the in-breath — 72. I might note when the out-breath stops and the in-breath starts – 71. As with the other practices, if I lose my count, I start again at 75. I keep at it until I reach zero. Most times, I don’t make it zero. I’ll keep “practicing.”
