Today, I’m catching up on my posts. Each day, I try to post my experience from the day before. For example, on Day 17, I took my abdominal breathing practice into the hot yoga room. As I went through the 26 postures plus 2 breathing exercises, when I could “remember,” I would engage my abdominal breathing. The last breathing exercise – kapalbhati breathing — focuses on abdominal breathing. One purpose of kapalbhati is to remove toxins from the body/mind. One teacher explained the goal of the 26 +2 practice is to dissolve the toxins in our body/mind so we can use our breath to release them.
