I practiced my 75 abdominal breathing at home, in hot yoga, and during my 75-minute weekly walk. At home, I’m getting better at counting my breaths from 75 to zero without losing count. Keeping my mind focused is challenging. In my hot yoga class, I was reminded of the instruction – suck in the belly. As in yoga and several activities, engaging the core helps stabilize movements. “Engaging the core” is critical to enhancing “functional fitness.” During my walk, parodically maintaining a moment-by-movement awareness of abdominal breathing created “presence” with each step.

I’ll be sharing something about myself. I’ll be reporting on my engagement in an activity. I’m sharing several examples of how I engage in activities, my “challenges” with them, and what I gain from them. I’m providing a “window.” By sharing, hopefully, I’ll nudge others into thinking about what they’re doing.
