Yesterday, I engaged in my 75 breaths challenge at different times during the day: (i) before I fell asleep, (ii) after I woke up, and (iii) while taking an afternoon walk. As I’ve noted, I have this interplay between my wanting to concentrate or focus my mind and my mind resisting concentration and focus. As I count down my abdominal breaths from 75 to zero, I must restart my count several times before my mind stops fighting, and I can keep my count from 75 to zero. I’m meditating.

What’s happening in your “mind” as you try to focus it?

My 75 Breaths Challenge allows me to explore and cultivate moment-by-moment awareness.
