I did my 75 Breaths Challenge during the last Savasana in my 8 am hot yoga class today. The room was very humid today, and the instructor kept turning on the system that pulled out the humidity from the studio. I appreciated that. Part of today’s “instruction” was for us to find stillness in our movements. During the last Savasana of the 90-minute class, I “counted down” my abdominal breaths, starting at 75. I was able “to keep the count” and didn’t have to start again repeatedly. When my count reached zero: “Stillness Happened.”
An experience like this is an example of an “insight” gained from practicing.
An “insight” is experiential. We feel it in our bodies. In this case, almost “activity” in my body/mind ceased.
An “insight” isn’t a mental concept. It’s “non-conceptual.” It’s a felt experience.
