A Walk In The Park 08-13-2021

Although it was the hottest part of the day, I felt the urge to take a walk in the park.  

I downloaded Marilyn Robinson’s novel “Jake.” It’s the fourth novel in her “Gilead Series.” Let me know if you’re interested in joining a group discussion of  “Gilead” and “Jake” on my What’s on Jerome’s Mind broadcast in September.

This is scene is just before I ender the park onto Beach Drive. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to the part of the park where I like to walk.  Given the time and the temperature, I didn’t see many people out. Sometimes this section of Rock Creek Park is packed with walkers and runners and bikers and people out just enjoying nature.

Today was my first walk in about eight weeks. I looking forward to re-establishing my walking routine.  My walking time is also audiobook listening time.
